Contains a section from a printed ordnance manual and notes made by Greene as commander of the 14th Mass. Artillery camped in Virginia (1861-1862?). Includes pages 405-540 of an ordnance manual, mainly mathematical and scientific tables. Greene's notes include ballistics formulas and equations as well as rosters of officers in the regiment.
